hider.sh is operated by Viačeslav Dmitrijev, a sole trader registered for individual activity in Lithuania under certificate (17.15-40) GES-754139, at Antakalnio g. 1, LT-10312 Vilnius, Lithuania. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that person, and “you” means the person or organisation using the service. Using hider.sh means accepting these terms.

hider.sh turns a secret into a link that opens once. The secret is encrypted in your browser, the key travels in the part of the link after the #, and opening the link is what deletes the stored copy. If nobody opens it, it expires and is deleted on its own.

Two things work differently and are set out in full on our security page: a link created for you by an AI assistant is encrypted on our server rather than in your browser, and asking us to email a link means the link passes through our server and our mail provider.

Sending a link does not need an account. An account exists only because a subscription was paid for — paying is what creates it, using the address given at checkout. There is no password: signing in uses a link and a code sent to that address.

Keep access to that mailbox. Anyone who can read it can sign in as you, and we have no other way to tell you apart from them.

If a subscription lapses, the account and its contacts remain, but everything Pro provides stops until it is renewed.

Do not use hider.sh to store or distribute anything illegal, anything designed to cause harm such as malware, or material you have no right to share. Do not use it to send unsolicited messages to people who have not asked for them.

Do not attempt to circumvent the limits described below, to read other people’s secrets, or to disrupt the service for anyone else. Automated use is welcome through the API, within the same limits.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Because we cannot read what is stored, we act on reports and on observable behaviour rather than on content.

Write requests are limited to one every ten seconds per IP address, on both plans. A secret may be up to 64 KB of ciphertext. A link may last up to one hour on Free and up to seven days on Pro. An account may save up to five contacts.

These are the limits as they stand today. If we change them we will say so on the pricing page, and a change that reduces what a paid subscription includes will not apply until your next renewal.

Hider Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, in advance, and renews automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page. VAT is added at checkout where it applies, so the amount charged may be higher than the price listed.

We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles the payment and keeps the record of it.

If a renewal fails, we may retry it. Access continues until the end of the period already paid for and then stops.

You can cancel at any time in the billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges and leaves Pro working until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Within 14 days of a payment you may also ask for that payment back. It is refunded in proportion to the time remaining — cancel on day 10 of a 30-day month and roughly two thirds is returned. After 14 days there is no refund, only the access already paid for. Email [email protected] to ask.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this mirrors your statutory right to withdraw within 14 days, with a deduction for the part of the service already supplied at your request. Nothing here removes rights you have by law.

Nothing can be recovered. There is no copy, no backup and no reset. If a link is lost before it is opened, the secret is gone. If it is opened by the wrong person, there is nothing to revoke. A wrong or damaged link still spends the secret, because the stored copy is deleted as soon as it is fetched.

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, and we do not promise a link will reach its recipient — email can be delayed, filtered or lost by systems that are not ours.

You are responsible for deciding what is safe to send and to whom. Anyone holding the whole link can open it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss arising from a secret reaching someone it should not have because a link was shared, forwarded or intercepted after it left us.

Where we are liable, that liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. If you have paid us nothing, our liability is limited to nothing — which is the honest position for a service that can be used without an account.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

You may stop using hider.sh at any time, and may ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected].

We may end the agreement if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue it while you are paying, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will tell subscribers by email before it takes effect, and it will not apply before your next renewal.

These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law where you live.
